About Us

Responding to a growing need for affordable, academically strong Christian education, Calvary Christian Academy opened its doors to kindergarten through grade twelve in 1979. Today, the Academy's student body has grown to over three hundred students, taught by a dedicated faculty and staff. The Academy has earned an outstanding reputation for academic excellence, drawing young people from all over the Fort Worth and Dallas area and internationally. Calvary Christian Academy is accredited by the International Christian Accrediting Association (ICAA) which is approved by the Texas Private School Accrediting Commission (TEPSAC) and AdvancED, formerly known as the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS).

A tornado in March, 2000 devastated downtown Fort Worth, destroying the school's building but not its future. Calvary Christian Academy immediately found temporary quarters through the generosity of Midtown Church of Christ. The relationship with Midtown eventually lead to the mutually beneficial purchase of the current property. This transaction enabled the Midtown congregation to purchase new property and construct a brand new facility where they continue and prosper as Heritage Church of Christ. The Academy's sponsoring church, Calvary Cathedral International, dedicated a substantial portion of the land to the furtherance of Christian education and, through great sacrifice, built the beautiful building the school now occupies. Calvary Christian Academy continues without compromising its mission and with an even greater vision than before.

The mission of Calvary Christian Academy is to train students academically and spiritually to discover and achieve their destiny. To accomplish this mission, The Academy is committed to providing a Christ-centered, Biblical perspective in the major areas of human knowledge (math, science, history, literature, Bible) along with an emphasis on physical development and fine arts. The Academy employs degreed and dedicated teachers that are committed to this cause.
