Dave and Dan are a fascinating story! Dan met Dave Roever in VIETNAM as a teen when Dave spoke at his father’s church in the mid-70s. Dan was so touched that “the big American” who was so horribly wounded in his country would come back in love and preach! He stated to his father, “I want to follow that man.” Later, Dan escaped from communism in Vietnam with his family in a boat, and came to the US, where he wrestled with his faith and later came to a STRONG faith in God. After college, he began working in the business world and eventually came to Ft. Worth as a manager of a Radio Shack store. Where that store was? Across the parking lot from Dave Roever’s office! A staff member, actually Dave’s brother Al, went to the store for a purchase. When the manager saw the name “Roever” he inquired about the big American that had been to his country when he was a young teen there…. GOD brought Dave and Dan together again in the USA! Dan went on to become a top district manager with Radio Shack, and after serving with the company 20 years, retired to work full time with Dave in various capacities.
